19-year-old man has died in a car crash two days before his birthday.
Daryl Rimington, of Ratby, died on Saturday when he was involved in a car crash in Groby.
He would have celebrated his 20th birthday today.
Yesterday, people who knew Daryl spoke of their shock at his death as they went to see flowers left in his memory, and to lay their own tributes at the crash scene, in Sacheverell Way.
A heart-shaped cushion had also been left, which simply read: "I love you."
The crash happened at 7.41pm on Saturday and involved Daryl's silver Ford Fiesta and a blue VW Passat. Daryl died at the scene.
A female passenger in his car was also hurt, and was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary. She was later released.
The driver of the Passat was not injured.
Pc David Haines, who is investigating the incident, has appealed for witnesses to call police.
He said: "Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction along Sacheverell Way. If anyone witnessed the collision, or saw either vehicle beforehand, please contact us.
"Any information, no matter how small, could help with our inquiries."
